You might be coming to this page from the rest of my blog here at First Sight Second Thoughts, or maybe you’ve been directed here The Extraordinary Voyage, a project of mine.
The Extraordinary Voyage is a series of short stories based on the works of Jules Verne. It follows the journey of three siblings, who experience all of these adventures as part of a bigger quest, which we are only beginning to understand. These stories are told from the point-of-view of our narrator who is piecing together the story for us from bits and pieces found in various sources. As they collect these stories and tries to gather information, a new quest has begun, which will be documented on the website.
My intention is for that site to remain completely in-universe, in-character, which is why this information page redirects to my own personal blog. I want it to be a sort of immersive experience. My plan is to cover all 54 of Verne’s Voyages Extraordinaires, however long it takes. The POV is intended to be an ambiguous narrator – ambiguous age, race, gender, etc (although I acknowledge that they are very much a reflection of myself as a person).
